			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>For this year&#8217;s ALA Community Challenge our chapter will be going to the Utah Food Bank on Friday October 8, 2010 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.   We will be helping the food bank with whatever project  is priority for them on that day it could be sorting of food donations, assembling of food boxes, repackaging of bulk food or something else.  Please mark your calendars and plan on joining your fellow chapter members in helping out the food bank.  Any donations of food or money is welcome, please make any checks payable to the Utah Food Bank.  We will collect these donations and give them to the food bank as a group. The Utah Food Bank is located at 3150 South 900 West, Salt Lake City, UT 84119.</p>
<p>Important information from the food bank: Just as a reminder, we do not allow open-toed shoes, flip flops, or sandals in our warehouse. Also, please make sure all individuals are at least 12 years of age. We encourage all volunteers who are able to bring a can of food to donate when they come in order to enrich their experience. Many of our clients are individuals with low or compromised immune systems.  If individuals in your group are feeling ill, please encourage them to stay home and volunteer with us again when they are feeling better.
